Setup shouldn’t be the hardest part of the game.
I’ve deployed a complete overhaul of the Kings of War Setup Generator. The previous version was functional, but “functional” isn’t the standard we aim for here. The new build is live, and it addresses two main requirements: speed and compliance.
What’s New
- Official 4th Edition Maps: The tool now includes the official map layouts directly from the 4th Edition rulebook. No more guessing or approximated terrain placement. You get tournament-standard layouts instantly.
- Performance: The backend has been optimized. It is significantly cleaner and snappier. Load times are down, and the UI is responsive. You want to generate a scenario and get playing, not wait on a script.
- UX Polish: The interface is stripped back and focused. The clutter is gone.
Why Use It
Consistency reduces cognitive load. By standardizing your setup process with a tool that aligns with the current rule set, you eliminate variable factors before the first turn. Use the generator, set the board, and focus on your deployment strategy.
